These Vendor Terms of Service apply to makers, artisans, crafters, creative businesses, and other businesses that submit, purchase, manage, or maintain a listing on Handmade Products Directory.
By submitting or maintaining a business listing, you agree to these Vendor Terms of Service and the general Conditions of Use for Handmade Products Directory.
About Handmade Products Directory
Handmade Products Directory is an online business directory designed to help shoppers discover independent makers, artisans, crafters, and creative small businesses by craft, specialty, and location.
Handmade Products Directory is not the seller of products offered by listed businesses and does not become a party to transactions completed between a listed business and its customers.
Vendor Eligibility
Businesses submitting a listing must provide truthful and accurate information about their business and must have the legal right to operate, advertise, and sell the products or services described in their listing.
Handmade Products Directory may review listings before or after publication and may request additional information when necessary to verify a business or listing.
Accurate Business Information
Vendors are responsible for keeping their listing information accurate and current. This includes the business name, description, website address, online shop links, location, contact information, images, categories, and other information included in the listing.
If a business closes, changes ownership, changes its website address, or otherwise changes information displayed in the directory, the vendor should update the listing as soon as reasonably possible.
Vendor Content
Vendors may be permitted to submit business descriptions, logos, photographs, product images, website links, social media links, and other content for inclusion in their directory listing.
By submitting content, the vendor confirms that they own the content or have permission to use and publish it.
The vendor grants Handmade Products Directory permission to display, resize, format, reproduce, and use submitted content as reasonably necessary to operate, display, promote, and market the directory and the vendor's listing.
Prohibited Listings and Content
Listings may not contain fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or intentionally misleading information.
Vendors may not submit content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
Handmade Products Directory reserves the right to reject or remove listings containing prohibited products, unlawful activity, malicious links, spam, deceptive advertising, or content that is inappropriate for the directory.
External Websites and Store Links
Handmade Products Directory allows vendors to direct visitors to their own websites, online stores, marketplace shops, social media pages, or other approved destinations.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring that links included in their listing remain active, accurate, secure, and appropriate.
Handmade Products Directory may remove or disable links that are broken, misleading, malicious, unsafe, or otherwise violate these terms.
Sales and Customer Transactions
Any sale resulting from a visitor discovering a vendor through Handmade Products Directory is a transaction between the vendor and the customer.
The vendor is responsible for their own products, pricing, payments, taxes, shipping, fulfillment, returns, refunds, warranties, customer service, and compliance with applicable laws.
Handmade Products Directory does not guarantee, supervise, or control transactions completed on a vendor's website or another third-party platform.
Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors are responsible for operating their businesses professionally and complying with laws and regulations that apply to their business, products, advertising, customers, taxes, and location.
Vendors are also responsible for maintaining any licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, tax accounts, or other requirements applicable to their business.
Listing Plans and Fees
Certain Handmade Products Directory listings or features may require payment of a listing, subscription, promotional, or other fee.
Pricing and features available with each plan will be displayed when the vendor selects or purchases the applicable service.
Vendors are responsible for reviewing the current price, billing period, and included features before purchasing a paid listing or service.
Renewals and Cancellation
If a vendor purchases a recurring subscription, the subscription may continue according to the billing terms presented at the time of purchase until it is canceled.
Vendors may cancel future renewal of a recurring service according to the cancellation options provided through their account or by contacting Handmade Products Directory.
Canceling a subscription does not necessarily result in a refund for a billing period that has already begun.
Refunds
Fees paid for directory listings, upgrades, or promotional services are generally for access to the applicable service or listing period and do not guarantee traffic, inquiries, customers, or sales.
Any refund eligibility will be determined according to the refund terms displayed with the applicable service and applicable law.
No Guarantee of Traffic or Sales
Handmade Products Directory provides businesses with an additional opportunity to be discovered, but we do not guarantee search engine rankings, visitor traffic, leads, inquiries, customers, orders, revenue, or sales.
Listing placement and visibility may vary depending on categories, location, website design, search activity, directory changes, and other factors.
Search Engines and Public Visibility
Vendor listings may be publicly accessible and may be discovered, indexed, cached, or displayed by search engines, social media services, artificial intelligence services, internet archives, and other third-party services.
Handmade Products Directory cannot guarantee when or whether third-party services will index, update, cache, or remove information from their systems.
Listing Review, Suspension, and Removal
Handmade Products Directory reserves the right to review, edit, suspend, reject, or remove a listing when necessary to protect visitors, maintain directory quality, enforce these terms, address security concerns, or comply with legal requirements.
Listings may also be removed or suspended for nonpayment, fraudulent activity, repeated policy violations, inactive or broken business links, or material misrepresentation.
Vendor Account Security
Vendors are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and for activity performed through their account.
If a vendor believes their account has been accessed without authorization, they should contact Handmade Products Directory as soon as possible.
Relationship Between Handmade Products Directory and Vendors
Listing a business on Handmade Products Directory does not create an employment, partnership, franchise, agency, joint venture, or other similar relationship between Handmade Products Directory and the vendor.
Each listed business remains independently owned and operated.
Changes to Vendor Terms
These Vendor Terms of Service may be updated as Handmade Products Directory changes its services, features, listing plans, or policies.
Continued use of a vendor account or business listing after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
